The 2009 Financial Statements
|
|
Owing to a number of internal and external factors, Finter Bank Zürich performed less well in fiscal year 2009. Consolidated profit for the period amounts to CHF 0.4 million, compared with CHF 6.3 million in 2008. The strong decline is due on the one hand to lower commission income as a consequence of reduced client activity, and on the other hand, to significant extraordinary costs incurred during the period. In particular, the costs related to the integration of Bank Hugo Kahn & Co Ltd, acquired in the previous year, the one-off costs sustained in connection with the change and implementation of a new IT platform and the reorganization of the branches in Ticino, amounted to a total of slightly more than CHF 3 million. This amount does not include the significant costs for internal staff resources dedicated to these projects.
